Drew Rifkin, Safe Software
There is increasing pressure for government agencies to share accurate and up-to-date geospatial information with other agencies and public end-users. This session explores how organizations can apply the power of spatial ETL (extract, transform and load) technologies and workflows to integrate ESRI, CAD, and web-based data within a MapInfo environment. Attendees will leave this presentation with achievable strategies and best practices for removing common data interoperability challenges that inhibit data sharing. Drew Rifkin is the Director of Local and Regional Government Accounts for Safe Software, which is based in the Vancouver area of British Columbia, Canada. In 2005 he joined Safe Software, where he has applied his familiarity with issues regarding the management of geospatial data to assist clients from a broad range of industries.
